Every Kidizens camp is a lesson in creative problem-solving. When children collaborate to build a city from scratch, they encounter the same challenges real communities face: limited resources, competing interests, and the need to find solutions that work for everyone.
Through city-building simulations, children learn to approach problems from multiple angles. They discover that there is rarely a single right answer — and that the best solutions come from listening, collaborating, and thinking creatively.
This season, our camps across the Bay Area have focused on cities inspired by places around the world. From the canal networks of Amsterdam to the vertical gardens of Singapore, children are drawing inspiration from global civic innovation.
